5-Mile Run To Benefit Troops

Lea's Prayers and Postage Inc. is holding its final fundraiser of 2008.
A 5-mile run/2-mile walk for the troops will be held at 8 a.m.on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the VFW Post 10209 off Anderson Snow Road. Registration starts at 7 a.m.
Those who register before Oct. 25 are guaranteed a T-shirt. The shirts will be red for Red Shirt Fridays to show support for our troops. Register online at www.active.com or request an application by sending an e-mail to Dee Mills at dmills1974@yahoo.com. The entry fee is $25 for the 5-mile run is $20 for the 2-mile walk. One hundred percent of the entry fees go to Lea's Prayers and Postage Inc. Come out to show support for our troops.
This nonprofit corporation was created in memory of Sgt. Lea Mills, who died in Iraq in April 2006, to provide postage for packages mailed to our troops in a war zone. Lea's Prayers and Postage Inc. has paid for more than $60,000 in postage for packages going to Iraq and Afghanistan.
