Jean C. White, 79, of Brooksville, died Monday, Oct. 6, at Heartland of Brooksville. She was born in Presque Isle, Maine, and moved to this area 21 years ago from Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mrs. White was a homemaker and fostered 80 children over 20-plus years. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, James Michael White of Brooksville; a daughter, Deborah Lynn Taylor of Stuart; a sister, Eva Meyer of Arizona; and two grandchildren.

Joseph Demitro, 85, of Brooksville, died Friday, Oct. 3, at Tampa General Hospital. He was born in Trenton, N.J., and moved to this area five years ago from Trenton.
Mr. Demitro was Russian Greek Orthodox by faith.
Survivors include three sons, Matthew James, Stephan Nicholas, and Andrew Lawrence Demitro; a brother, John Dmytrow; and five grandchildren.

Martin J. Wolanin, 91, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Serenity House, Spring Hill. He moved to this area 27 years ago from his native Philadelphia, Pa.
Mr. Wolanin was a retired foreman for Ormet-Olin Corp. and a member of the YMCA in Spring Hill and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include two nieces, Joan M. Travers and Maria Lamana, both of Philadelphia.

Stephen Buffamante, 84, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Oct. 5, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in New York, N.Y., and moved to this area 14 years ago from Long Island, N.Y.
Mr. Buffamante retired as a safety engineer. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Seabees Club of Spring Hill and Republican Club.
Survivors include his wife, Edith; a son, Richard Buffamante; a daughter, Carol Jean Devine; five stepsons, Salvatore Russo, Thomas Russo, Richard Russo, Keith Russo and Steven Russo; three stepdaughters, Elizabeth Russo, Denise Frederich and Jeannete Vlantis; four sisters; 24 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
