Angel Food Ministries Announces Order Dates For December

Christ Lutheran Church is a host site for Angel Food Ministries (AFM) which is a nonprofit, nondenominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the U.S.

The church is now accepting credit and debit card orders online for Angel Food, and pick-up will be held at the church located at 475 N. Avenue West at the designated times listed below for Christ Lutheran.

To place an order online, log on to www.angelfoodministries.com. A special Christmas dinner box is available that can feed a gathering of four to seven people, and the cost is $35.

Those interested in making arrangements with charitable entities are welcome to place and pick up the orders to distribute prior to the holiday.

Christ Lutheran announces its order dates for Angel Food Ministries as follows: Sundays, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Tuesday, Dec. 2 and Friday, Dec. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m.; or Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to noon. Distribution day will be Saturday, Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. to noon. Cash and food stamps will be accepted, but personal checks or money orders will not be accepted.

In addition, First Lutheran Church is a sub-location for order taking on a cash-only basis. Order dates and times at this host site located at 30419 Park Ridge Drive in the Ridge Manor area are as follows: Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. or Saturday, Dec. 6 from 8 to 11 a.m. Orders placed at this location will be available for pick-up from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20.
