Gas: Lowest Since 2005

The national and state price average for retail gasoline fell below $2 per gallon last week.

It is the lowest national mark since March 2005, according to AAA Auto Club South.

Crude oil prices plummeted again, dropping $10 per barrel in one week.

It closed at $49.93 Friday on the New York Stock Exchange.

Gas prices are expected to continue their decline through the end of 2008.

The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Florida is $1.98.

The Sam's Club in Spring Hill and the Wal-Mart in Brooksville were selling regular gas at $1.84 per gallon Sunday afternoon, according to GasBuddy.com.
