James "Jimmy" Samec, 56, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Brooksville Regional Hospital. He was born in Seattle, Wash., and moved to this area 14 years ago from St. Petersburg.
Mr. Samec was a retired 7-Eleven manager.
Survivors include his father, Richard; his mother, Jeanette; and three brothers, Raymond of Bronson, Paul of Brooksville and Michael of Largo.

Faye E. Potts, 82, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Nov. 8, at Oak Hill Hospital. She was born in Akron, Ohio, and moved to this area 12 years ago from Omaha, Ark.
Mrs. Potts was a wholesale buyer for Central Ohio Paper Company and a member of Grace World Outreach Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include her husband, Chester; a son, Chip Potts of Springfield, Mo.; a daughter, Carole Bowman of Orlando; three brothers, Frank Spivey, Donald Spivey and Robert Spivey, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister, Yvonne Harshey of Avon, Ind.; and two grandchildren.

Beverly J. Long, 72, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Nov. 6. She was born in Urbana, Ohio, and moved to this area a year ago from West Palm Beach.
Mrs. Long was a banquet captain in the food service industry and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include four sons, Kyle Long of West Palm Beach, Kevin Long and Keith Long, both of Spring Hill, and Kim Long of Ohio; a daughter, Kristan Long of Tampa; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Clarence Legath, 88, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Nov. 8. He was born in Milwaukee, Wis., and moved to this area 26 years ago from Milwaukee.
Mr. Legath was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Bette Jane Wallen of Wautoma, Wis.; a son, Robert E. Messinger of Watertown, Wis.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Dorothy W. Hoey, 76, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Nov. 9, at home. She was born in Sound Beach, N.Y., and moved to this area 17 years ago from Spartanburg, S.C.
Mrs. Hoey was a registered nurse for hospitals, a member of the Brooklyn Club at Timber Pines and the Timber Pines Players, an ombudsman for Senior Citizens Advocate Group, and attended Northcliffe Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John; three sons, Joe Calderone of Spartanburg, Daniel Silivanch of San Antonio, Texas, and Gary Silivanch of Wilmington, N.C.; a daughter, Annmarie Jones of Greenville, S.C.; a brother, Frank Welch of Spring Hill; three sisters, Anna Ross of Loomis, Calif., Blanche Coogan of Brewster, N.Y., and Beulah Palmiotti of West Park, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.
