This past Saturday, we were subjected to a letter from a William Vahoviak, who was showing his support for John Russell for Congress and went into his thing about why he did not like incumbent U.S. Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite.
Now with all due respect to Mr. Vahoviak, I know Ms. Brown-Waite and I too have met John Russell and, frankly speaking, Mr. Russell cannot hold a candle to Ms. Brown-Waite.
I was at a number of debates in which the two debated back in 2006 and it was quite easy to see why John Russell lost. He was short-tempered and used profanity when heckled. Even the National Democratic Party did not support him. In fact, soon after the election, there was story in the news where he was banned from a Democratic event due to his behavior.
As for Ms. Brown-Waite, I don't know where Mr. Vahoviak has been, but the congresswoman has done a lot for the local veterans. She has seen to it personally that veterans in her district have gained the benefits they deserved.
Mr. Vahoviak says he wants to make sure that veterans get what they were promised. If that were the case, has he ever contacted the congresswoman's office at any time since she has assumed office to talk about some veterans issues with her? I can only assume the answer to that question is no.
