Sometimes certain writers are so incoherent I go on and read another article without concerning myself more.
I felt that way about Frances Earl's piece May 15, except that it did concern me. I read my name three times.
I don't know what a "don't ask, don't tell" philosophy is, unless it is some cryptic Democrat code for homosexual relationships. Maybe she can fill us in on why she relates this same sentence with evil doers?
One thing my religion teaches us is that while it is common place for the church to designate individuals who have achieved sainthood, in the final analysis it is only God's domain to determine which of us is evil.
On occasion we may refer to someone knowingly committing evil acts as indeed evil themselves, but Earl is the only one who calls people not responding to her idea of evil as evil themselves.
It's somewhat hypocritical considering Democrats have condemned our military for assuming if you aid our battlefield enemies, you are likewise our enemy.
As a disabled veteran, I think I can speak on our military with much more authority than she can. In fact, included among things done in my life, staying in military quarters at Ft. Bragg is one of them.
So, explain to me again how it is my fault or even the president's that some barracks have maintenance problems?
As an intelligence officer, I've done numerous investigations and research from sabotage to sexual discrimination cases in my career. I can tell you there are bad as well as very good people in our armed forces.
Once at our tiny installation, a neighboring unit's dining facility accidentally poisoned our service members, sending more than 170 of them to the hospital. There was national inquiry at the time, and we certainly didn't blame then President Jimmy Carter for it.
Some of these Democrat accusations are simply absurd. These incidences are caused by human error far down the chain of command and those involved are summarily punished.
Besides Peter Stathis' clarification of Earl's distorted perception of various clergymen's relationship with certain candidates, it is evident that Sen. Barack Obama has only "severed" his ties with Rev. Wright until after the election for political purposes, which both conspired to do over a year ago.
It's bad when a politician like Obama lies, but in this case the lies are also coming from the pulpit.
I have disagreed with U.S. Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite on various issues including the subject Alex Galvan addresses on the same page Earl criticizes me. Research the Hernando Today's op-ed page.
I have always supported immigration reform. But this doesn't mean I want an open border anyone can walk through. Again, it's absurd.
Will I vote for McCain and Brown-Waite? Yes. Earl is so quick to criticize but typical of Democrats who offer no solutions.
People want change, so do. I but I'd rather things stay the same than face the changes Obama offers.
Why does he always have to get back to journalists with an answer? Doesn't he already know the answer? What is he hiding?
Of course, we assume it's bad because if it were good we would undoubtedly have heard about it already.
The things we already know are indeed bad from his support for babies dying in abortion offices to a nonexistent foreign policy where Israel fights for its life alone and innocent people die needlessly while we rethink our relationship with rogue states.
Since when are Democrats pro-life and pro-Israel? These issues need concrete actions, not vague claims of change. Where are they? Well, now I'm asking, so please do tell.
