May Scales Hagadus, 78, of Spring Hill, died Monday, July 28, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 34 years ago from Park Ridge, N.J.
Mrs. Hagadus worked as a personal banker for SunTrust, office manager for W.T. Grants in Park Ridge and Brooksville, and was a window dresser for Woolworth's. She was a Den Mother for Pack 80 and a member of the church choir for the Methodist Church in Park Ridge and Mariner Methodist Church and its Craft Club.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Scales of Florisout, Colo., and Casey Scales of Spring Hill; a brother, Henry Maddalone of Scotia, N.Y.; a granddaughter; and 22 nieces and nephews.

Dorothy S. Nicoletti, 84, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, July 29, at Oak Hill Hospital. She was born in Jersey City, N.J., and moved to this area 16 years ago from Bergen County, N.J.
Mrs. Nicoletti was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas R.; two sons, Thomas E. and Richard; a daughter, Joyce; and five grandchildren.

Gerard A. "Rod" Horton, 81, of Spring Hill, died Monday, July 28, at the Hudson Hospice Care Center, Hudson. He was born in New York, N.Y., and moved to Florida 19 years ago from Birmingham, Mich.
Mr. Horton was the national sales manager for Johns Manville Corp., Denver, Colo., a World War II U.S. Army veteran, past president of the Timber Pines Tennis Club and the Michigan Club, volunteered at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center for many years and was a member of the Long Island Club, Brooklyn Club, Newcomers Club, Organ Club, Travel Club and St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; two sons, Todd Horton of Clearwater and Drew Horton of Harrison Township, Mich.; a daughter, Dana Dafoe of Holiday; a sister, Sister Helen Horton of Yonkers, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Frank Nava, 94, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, July 30, at Oak Hill Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to this area 27 years ago from Long Island, New York.
Mr. Nava was a longshoreman, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include a son, Michael of Spring Hill; a daughter, Belinda Childs of Franklin, N.C.; a brother, Vincent of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.
