Santa Claus Is Coming To Town In July

Santa Claus is coming Wednesday, July 23, to Rogers' Christmas House and Village, located at 103 S. Saxon Ave. in Brooksville. They are celebrating Christmas in July through July 27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours for Santa are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 352-796-2415 or 877-312-5046.

The Masaryktown Activities Club will be sponsoring a fundraising event at beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Kennedy Park next to the Sherriff's Substation on U.S. 41 and Wilson Boulevard. There will be a yard and bake sale, with all proceeds going to a fund for longtime resident Cheryl Atkinson to assist her to return to Wisconsin to attend a memorial service for her son who recently died.

All donations will be gratefully appreciated and accepted. Feel free to drop off any donated items at the Masaryktown Post Office. For more information, call Debbie at 352-799-7914.

On July 3, Alli Evans celebrated her 21st birthday! First, her parents, Major Mark and Mom Becky Evans, took her out to dinner at the Bamboo Room in Tampa, then they went to visit her sister Chelsea in Sarasota on July 4th, where they all watched fireworks displays at Siesta Key Beach; and last weekend, her friends Mandy West and Mary Hunt came from Gloucester, Va. to help her celebrate her big 21st. All enjoyed sun, surf, and shopping. We wish Alli many more.

Mona Premorel has returned from a three-week visit back home, which is Worcester and Marlboro, Mass. She visited with daughter Sharon and her hubby Dan Imperato, daughter Meridith and her hubby Tom Grecco, daughter Charlene Simpson, grandchildren - 10-year-old Keith Grecco and 16-year-old Daniel Imperato, and many longtime friends, some for more than 40 years. Everyone enjoyed sightseeing and shopping - and had a blast. Meantime, Chuck was stationed at home and survived.

The Parsolanos, Helen, and daughters Stephanie and Rebecca, and friend David Marcum enjoyed last weekend at Ocala State Park, where they went kayaking and even saw a black bear in the wild!

Zackary Marshott is 1 year old today! Weather permitting, his mom, Bianca Marshott, is hosting a party for him today at Hernando Beach. Attending will be Grandma Denise Tolbert, Grandpa Wayne Marshott, other Grandma Shirley Vance, Aunt Tiffany Tolbert, Zack's Dad - Kody Stamper, and Zack's girlfriend Makenzee Aguiar, plus lots of other friends and neighbors, a bunch of balloons, and a big birthday cake. Happy Birthday, Baby!
