Opera To Kick Off Events Series

A series of local cultural events kick off this Friday with an opera performance by Hernando County native Stephanie Barnett-Sager.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at Paesano's Restaurant, 7421 Spring Hill Drive.

The event will be hosted by Brian Brijbag with the Hernando County Fine Arts Council. After Friday, an interview with harpist Maria Valentine is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at the Rising Sun Cafe in downtown Brooksville.

The last event is a fish fry and bluegrass music performance at the Istachatta General Store starting at 6 p.m. Friday, July 25.

Hernando County Broadcasting will film the features and air the performances later on the government channel.
