I'd been hesitant to comment on Sue Quigley's article because I've said these things in past letters, but after checking I realize most of those letters were never printed.
I wanted to save my letter quota to address Dallas Dunlap's attacks on me. I will always respond to every criticism, praying they get printed.
But Jack Jensen's piece pushed me to comment. He and Quigley both address immigrants taking over countries - Muslims in Britain and Europe and Catholics in the United States.
I say Catholics to be fair. Muslims are religious believers as are Catholics. Likewise, many immigrating here aren't Mexican but from other Central and South American countries.
It's not merely Mexico's fault. It is just bigger and closer to us.
Quigley and Jensen both allude to the fact that it is really our own fault because we don't do anything to stop it.
But Quigley appears to have resigned herself to not returning to her country, which refutes the warning to stand and fight. That seems to further bother Jensen.
Well, I guess I abandoned the Caucasian race by marrying a woman from Ecuador and guess what? I don't care.
I have the smartest, most beautiful five children in the world without exaggeration. By the way, they speak English and Spanish perfectly. Talk to their teachers.
But foremost being Catholic myself, I have never abandoned my faith.
Further, as Catholics, we often talk about the moral consequences of abortion but never the economic ones.
World immigration is a direct response to abortion throughout Europe and North America. Workers from poorer countries are always going to come to replace our lack of labor due to abortion here.
Quigley clearly points out birth rate and population discrepancies between immigrants and prior citizens.
Abortion and birth control are the culprits, not immigrants wanting to work. So, blame ourselves. We cannot have our cake and eat it, too.
I know some are already contriving to prove me wrong. That's fine. I've stated the obvious.
