No Help In Sight For Government Run Amok

It is quite obvious, as most all of the editorial writers pontificate, that Sens. Barack Obama, John McCain and especially Hillary Clinton are ill-equipped to stem the tide of a government that has run amok under the leadership of a despot.

Frankly, the Democratic Party has shown its colors very well when its party leaders reneged on their promises to get us out of this war. It's been two years now, and they've done nothing.

Ever since the beginning of this campaign season, there has been only one candidate who stands on and strictly votes on the Constitution of the United States of America, and yet the only publicity this man gets is negative. His name is Ron Paul. Go to www.RonPaul2008.com. Research him and check his voting record. I believe he is the only candidate running who will deliver the goods.

He wants to end the IRS, stop the inflation tax of the central bankers, eliminate unconstitutional spending that leads us further into debt, stop our financial dependence on China, Saudi Arabia and other foreign nations, oppose trade deals that threaten American sovereignty. He wants to protect our privacy and stop the national I.D. card, and he wants to eliminate the Patriot Act, which is anything but patriotic. It has given President George W. Bush dictatorial powers to be used at his discretion. Paul also wants to secure our borders and end illegal immigration and also birthright citizenship of illegal immigrants. Most important from my point of view, he wants to bring our troops home from no-win police actions.

He gets his campaign finances from common folks, not lobbyists. He's not in the race to protect their interests. His biggest financial contributors are the men and women of all of our armed forces. That should speak volumes to anyone. After all, they are the ones fighting and dying on foreign soil.

He has never voted to raise taxes or in favor an unbalanced budget. He has never voted to raise congressional pay or taken a government funded junket. He has never voted to increase the president's power, and he doesn't take part in the high-dollar congressional pension plan.

Sounds to me like this is the man to get the job done, yet not a positive word is mentioned day after day in the nation's papers, possibly because to many people in big government stand to lose a lot if he were installed as president.

This is the most crucial election of our times. We have a president with near-dictatorial powers intent on destroying our sovereignty with the emergence of the North American Union by the year 2010.

People, it is the 11th hour; time to wake up. We have been systematically sold out and controlled by a government that has preyed upon our fears, much of which was fabricated through falsehoods and deception. It is our responsibility to get our country back on Election Day, rather than to have to fight another revolution, which we the people have little chance of winning considering the high-tech weaponry of the world's military forces.

Thomas Jefferson once said: "When government fears the people, you have democracy. When people fear the government, you have tyranny."

With Bush running amok with his executive authority, I have to tell you I am scared. I will probably now be labeled "an enemy of the state."

Do some research. Vote responsibly. Vote for America. Vote for Ron Paul.
