The National Weather Service announced a fire weather watch for Monday.
The warning will be in effect during the morning and afternoon.
A cold front is expected to move through the region tonight and high pressure with drier air will follow Monday morning, meteorologists said.
Long durations of low humidity are anticipated for the entire region, including Hernando County.
