Walter Elmer Smith, 63, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in Milan, Mich., and moved to this area two years ago from Belleville, Mich.
Mr. Smith was a freight handler and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Marion; a son, Walter Lynn Smith of Carleton, Mich.; and four daughters, Kimberly S. Ruiz of Jellico, Tenn., Pamela J. Parrish of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., Trisha A. Torres of Lincoln Park, Mich., and Carrie S. Sigler of Ann Arbor, Mich.

Ivy V. Diedrick, 97, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Dec. 1, at Forest Oaks Care Center, Spring Hill. She was born in Jamaica and moved to this area eight years ago from Clearwater.
Mrs. Diedrick was a homemaker and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include five sons, Paul Diedrick of New Jersey, Denny Diedrick of Brooksville, and Thomas Diedrick, Handel Diedrick and Errol, all of Jamaica; six daughters, Joan Rickman and Irma Gorzynski, both of Spring Hill, Rita Cassidy of Canada, Eliese Cox of St. Lucia Island, and Carol Laing and Sybil Diedrick, both of Jamaica; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mary Esther Bobak, 71, of Weeki Wachee, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Oak Hill Hospital. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Florida seven years ago from Strongsville, Ohio.
Mrs. Bobak worked for the U.S. Postal Service and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth A. Bobak of Weeki Wachee; four daughters, Cynthia Fletcher and Beverly Ann Marusa, both of Brunswick, Ohio, Theresa DeMarco of Medina, Ohio, and Patricia Jo Kackley of Strongsville; a brother, Joseph Boisseau; a sister, Irene Loyer; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
