Expect Gas Prices To Go Up, AAA Says

After several weeks of declining gas prices, consumers might want to brace themselves for an increase this week.

That is the word from AAA Auto Club South, which cites higher crude oil prices, reduced domestic fuel inventories and a weakening U.S. dollar as reasons for the pending rise at the pumps.

With Labor Day approaching, there is the change of an increase in consumption and a lower inventory. Those two factors typically lead to a price increase, according to AAA.

The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Florida is just below $3.69 - down 6 cents from last week.
