Area Deaths

Brian P. Callaghan, 62, of Weeki Wachee, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, at his home under hospice care. He was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and moved to the area 11 years ago from Newark, Del.
Mr. Callaghan served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot and was a retired lieutenant colonel with the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbi; sons, Andrew, of Spring Hill, and Mike, of Fort Bragg, N.C.; daughter, Sarah, of Weeki Wachee; parents, Dan and Bobbi, of Wilmington, Del.; sisters, Lynne Falkowski, Darcy Malcolm, Cherie Moffa, and Michelle Lawrence, all of Delaware; brother, Sean, of Delaware; and six grandchildren.

William D. McQueen, 85, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Aug. 21, at his home. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and moved to the area five years ago from Bloomfield, N.J.
Mr. McQueen was a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service and was a Presbyterian.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia A.; daughter, JoAnn Yates, of Roseland, N.J.; three stepdaughters; sisters, Isabel Carey and Helen Brown, both of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.

Albert "Bert" Edward Johnson, 64, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Aug. 21, at his home. He was born in West Palm Beach and moved to Spring Lake in the mid-1980s.
Mr. Johnson was a member of the International Independent Showmans Association, Florida Federation of Fairs, Family Motor Coach Association and Outdoor Amusement Business Association.
Survivors include his fiancée, Virginia "Ginny" Pruitt; sons, David Allen, of Cairo, Egypt, Paul Christopher, of Stafford, Va.; sister, Carol Johnson, of West Palm Beach; and three grandchildren.
