Marcella M. Herring, 79, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Oak Hill Hospital. She moved to this area 20 years ago from her native Toledo, Ohio.
Mrs. Herring was a homemaker and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Randy VanBuskirk of Winter Haven; a daughter, Debbie Grabowski of Toledo; a brother, Duke Puls of Toledo; a sister, Mary VanBuskirk of Toledo; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Merritt Funeral Homes, Spring Hill Chapel.

Roy Hopkins Jr., 54, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Brooksville.
Mr. Hopkins was an automobile mechanic and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Christa Murwin of Brooksville, and Tonya Basich and Barbara Caves, both of Kissimmee; a brother, Frank Collier of Cleveland, Tenn.; a sister, Barbara Batten of Spring Hill; and seven grandchildren.
Arrangements by Merritt Funeral Homes, Spring Hill Chapel.

Joan M. Purce, 73, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Aug. 20. She was born in Syracuse, N.Y., and moved to this area 15 years ago.
Mrs. Purce was a homemaker and a Southern Baptist by faith.
Survivors include three sons, Robert of Nevada, Jim of California and Dan of Florida; a daughter, Lorraine of New York; a brother, George Martin of New York; a sister, Darlyn Delamater of Florida; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements by National Cremation Society, Hudson.
