BROOKSVILLE The county will hold three public workshops to discuss the two-step fare increase proposed for THE Bus.
Those workshops are from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will be held Aug.11, 12 and 13 at three different locations.
The Monday, Aug. 11, workshop is at the Beall's Plaza Transfer Center (Mariner Square Shopping Center) at State Road 50, just east of Mariner Boulevard.
The Tuesday, Aug. 12, workshop is at the Brooksville Wal-Mart Supercenter, 7305 Broad St. in Brooksville.
The Wednesday, Aug. 13, workshop is at the Hernando County Government Center atrium, 20 North Main St. in downtown Brooksville.
The initial increase is slated to become effective Oct. 1, with the second hike to take place July 1, 2009.
