New Year's Eve Events

Rotary Club of Brooksville and Archer Painting will host Tangerine Time, a New Year's Eve community celebration, at 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the Jerome Brown Community Center, 99 Jerome Brown Place, off Darby Lane, adjacent Tom Varn Park, Brooksville.

The family friendly, nonalcoholic event will feature games, prizes, food and live entertainment plus free T-shirts to the first 500 people who attend. Admission is free of charge; but a donation of a nonperishable food item will be appreciated, which will be donated to the Salvation Army.

VFW Post 8713 and Ladies Auxiliary will host a New Year's Eve party at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the Post located at 1686 East Jefferson St., Brooksville. Finger food and karaoke will be featured.

Aripeka Elks Lodge 2520 will host a Gala New Year's Party Monday, Dec. 31, at the Lodge located at 9135 Denton Ave., Hudson. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

The event will feature a prime rib dinner served at 8 p.m., breakfast at 1 a.m., beverages, hats and noise makers. Music will be provided by Marty and the Nice Guys. The cost is $50 per person, and reservations are required.
