Here We Go Again

Here we go again, another Dallas Dunlap diatribe. Irrationality and confusion are typical right-wing traits, and John Boyle exemplifies both.

I confused nothing; I agreed with Dunlap about what Democrats' beliefs on global warming are, but he seems confused by that.

I never said the Democrats caused global warming or that they are trying to destroy America.

Most Republicans think people, including Democrats, have a much smaller affect on warming than they do. Obviously, Dunlap is not at all too warm with me.

I simply put in stark terms what Dunlap said and thanked him for his honesty. Perhaps, after he re-examined what he said, he thinks his ideas and those of the Democrats would destroy America!

By his reaction, it would seem so.

I noticed that he now calls mandatory abortions and mandatory vasectomies merely "desperate measures," with no mention of what the measures were, like this is some prime-time soap opera on TV.

They are not fantasy - they are very real with much loss of human life!

He is obfuscating the truth and attacks me. I said nothing about Iraq, and I said nothing about traitors. He is ranting about things in his head about nothing I said because he can't deny what he said.

He has a green vision like the "Soylent Green" world portrayed in the 1973 movie. I recommend people view this classic again for themselves. It is the Democrats' vision of our future.

Dunlap accuses me of lacking facts but he's the one talking science fiction. I've never been a spendthrift in my politics or my personal life.

He's wrong about civil rights as well. The father of Al Gore, the guru of green, voted against all civil rights legislation during his tenure. Ask Democrat Sen. Robert Byrd about his use of the "N" word.

He claims to have changed since voting against civil rights in the 1960s, but he's used that word on TV within the last two years. Byrd is not a renegade within his party, he's one of their leaders. On the other hand, it was unheralded Republican support in Congress that passed civil rights legislation. Check Congressional records. Now, I would be glad to debate Dunlap on global warming. But I rely on the Hernando Today to print my responses.

I pray Chris Wessel will continue in the tradition of his predecessor, Bob Nolte, of letting each of us say our piece until the truth is revealed in the process.

John Boyle
