The fourth annual American Cancer Society Cattle Barons' Ball will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Palace Grand, 275 Della Court, Spring Hill, on U.S. 19, 1/8 mile north of County Line Road.

The goal for this event is to raise funds in support of Reaching Out to Cancer Kids (ROCK). County Commissioner John Druzbick and his wife, Debbie, co-chair this event and have announced that the 2010 Ball will be dedicated to George Pappas, who lost his fight with cancer in September 2009.

Cattle Barons' Ball Tickets are available at $100 per person and can be ordered by calling John Druzbick at 686-8979, Debbie Druzbick at Oak Hill Enrichment Center at 597-6331, or Kathy Vidal in Brooksville at 799-6000.

Music will be provided by Southern Exposure at this western party of western parties that also features great food, silent and live auctions.

The goal of this Gala is to raise $52,000 to support ROCK. The American Cancer Society's Families ROCK weekend, established in 2000 is a fun, educational retreat for children with cancer and their families. Also a part of this program is the ROCK College Scholarship Program, an award-winning college scholarship opportunity exclusively for students with a history of cancer.
