The Humane Society of the Nature Coast Inc., along with the Spring Hill Community Association will hold the first Fur Fest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 at The Lake House, 1202 Kenlake Ave, Spring Hill.
The event will have games, contests, food and holiday shopping all in one lovely location.
All pets must have proof of vaccinations to participate and must be on a leash.
Bring your pet to the Fest to enjoy a great day at the park and plan on picking up the 2009 Humane Society Pet Calendars that will be available for sale.
These are high gloss quality calendars that features photos of the pets of the community.
Each month features photos of pets who are the winners of the previous year Pet Expo's Photo Contest.
The calendars would be a perfect holiday gift for the pet lover on your shopping list and support a good cause at the same time. Calendars are $5 each.
The 2009 calendars are also available at the Humane Society of the Nature Coast, at Wiscon and Mobley Roads, AAA Auto Club on Pinehurst Boulevard, Spring Hill Printing Plus on Hearth Drive, Complete Technology Solutions on U.S. 19 and Curtis Chiropractic Clinic on Mariner Boulevard.
Entertainment at the Fest will be provided by Teri Lyon and the event is proud to announce that the Madmac Lure Chase for dogs will be on site.
Admission is free, children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
A donation of pet food to the Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
