Brooksville PD: Apartment manager pockets rent

BROOKSVILLE Donna Lopez, manager for Oak Park Apartments at 460 Hale Ave., was arrested Thursday after the complex owner reported that she was renting apartments and pocketing the cash, according to the Brooksville Police Department.Utility records showed that Lopez, 46, had been collecting money on two apartments since October 2012, and keeping the rent money and security deposits for herself – an estimated $4,952.50.
Lopez admitted to taking the money during an interview, and was released on $2,000 bond Thursday evening.
