So you think you know comic books?

OK, fans, time to engage those gray cells and test your knowledge about the world of comic books.

I did this last February and I was inundated with hundreds of e-mails. Well, maybe a couple.

Anyway, here is the second annual Comic Guy All-Star Fan Challenge.

And the rules haven't changed: I list 10 comic-related questions and you answer them. You get 10 right, you are smarter than Brainiac 5 of the Legion of Super-Heroes.

Get 7-9 right, and you're sharper than Wolverine's adamantium claws.

Get half correct, and you qualify for membership in the Justice Society of America.

Three to four correct: You probably wouldn't last one round with the Wasp.

Get less than three: You are to report Monday to Superman's Fortress of Solitude and listen to endless recordings of the Gilligan's island theme song.

OK, here we go:

1. Peter Parker got his spider-like abilities after:

A - Spending 48 hours confined in an insect cage

B - Being bit by a Black Widow while cleaning out his attic

C - Being bit by a radioactive spider

D - The Hulk accidentally injected him full of gamma-powered arachnid juice

2. The Flash discovered he could run around the world in a blink of an eye and perform other speed tricks after:

A - A freak lightning storm spilled a bunch of radioactive chemicals all over his body

C - "The Big Red Cheese"

D - "The Martian Maniac"

5. The mysterious Spectre has the uncanny ability to:

A - Cohabit the same body as a police detective

B - Split himself in two and double date with ease

C - Foretell weather reports, which earned him a job as a television meteorologist

A - "The Man"

B - "The Crown Prince"

C - "Mr. Comic Book"

D - "The King"

7. Hawkman had a strange ability that served him well in fighting crooks. He could:

A - Talk to birds

B - Grow a pair of bird wings

C - Create birds out of thin air just by sheer will power

D - Turn into a raven

8. The Atom, DC's smallest super-hero, got his powers from:

A - Spending too many hours in a reducing machine

B - Being force-fed reduction pills by a mad scientist

C - A white, dwarf star

D - Prolonged exposure to heat rays in a Venusian sauna

9. Perry White, Clark Kent's editor at the Daily Planet, had a favorite expression he used in the newsroom. It was:

A - "Get the Lead Out"

10. Poison Ivy used to drive Batman delirious when she did this to the caped crusader:

C - Upstaged him by solving the Riddler's clues before him
