BROOKSVILLE - The public can offer input on the ongoing search for the next schools superintendent.

The Hernando County School District on Wednesday added a survey to its Web site.

Residents and school district employees can rank qualifications on a scale of 1 to 4, with 1 being highly important and 4 being not important.

The criteria list includes eight categories: Doctorate degree, Florida experience, prior superintendent experience, large county experience, understanding or familiarity with educational technology, holding an administrative position in a Florida school district at the time of application, doctorate degree candidate and the ability to demonstrate success in developing community relationships.

The link is on the main page of the school district's Web site. It is named "superintendent survey" and is the second link on the right-hand column.

After the user clicks "save," he or she is brought back to the main page.

The address is http://hernandoschools.org.
