BROOKSVILLE - About 524 county employees who are members of Teamsters Local Union 79 will vote on a proposed contract Monday.
The county and Teamsters last week reached tentative agreement on a new pact, which includes 10 unpaid furlough days this budget year. That is identical to what the 95 nonunion members will take.
Union employees will also be asked to accept a displacement agreement, which secures seniority rights in case of layoffs.
The contract will go before county commissioners at their Nov. 10 board meeting.
