They're back

BROOKSVILLE - The Haunted Trail that exists only a few days a year that is known to provide thrills and chills has reappeared on Golddust Road with a vengeance.

The Witherow family and volunteers have been working hard to create a new and exiting outdoor trail for the delight of everyone in the family. As with previous years, different colored lanterns will indicate the age level of each tour group to tailor the experience for younger children or to die hard fright fans.

Participants can enjoy a guided tour through the dark and mysterious woods, fend off all evils protecting the witch and help hunt her down and put an end to her terror. This Halloween event will be held for four nights only with all proceeds donated to local charity. Admission is $5 and snacks and beverages will be available for sale.

Appropriate footwear is advised as this is an entirely outdoor adventure complete with flora and fauna.

The Haunted Trail on Golddust is located at 5277 Golddust Road in Brooksville. Directions: From Spring Hill Drive, head north on Barclay Avenue to Highgrove Road, turn left on Highgrove and then left on Golddust. From State Road 50 head south on Barclay to Highgrove, turn left on Highgrove, then left on Golddust. All witches may skip these directions and fly their broom directly to the trail.
