Woman caught stealing Preparation H products, deputies say

SPRING HILL - A woman was arrested Tuesday after stealing three different kinds of Preparation H products, deputies said.
A security officer at Sweetbay observed Kathleen Butler, 54, removing some pharmaceutical items from the shelves and stuffing them into her purse, according to an arrest report.
She walked past the cash registers toward the exit, at which time the store employee apprehended her, deputies said.
Butler said her husband was sick at home and she did not want to wait in line for the items, according to the report.
Her purse contained a nylon brush, Preparation H wipes, ointment and suppositories, deputies said.
The total value of the property was $32.96, according to the report.
Butler was charged with misdemeanor retail theft.
