SPRING HILL - Three juvenile boys were arrested Tuesday after burglarizing an abandoned home near Coronado Drive, deputies said.
Shortly after 7 pm., the three suspects – ages 16, 14 and 11, respectively – were discovered inside the house at 14069 Allston Ave. when Hernando County Sheriff's deputies arrived.
Authorities observed holes in two different walls and the names of two of the suspects carved into a table. They also confiscated 2 grams of marijuana, according to an arrest report.
One of the boys lived in proximity to the house and knew it was vacant, deputies said.
All three were arrested on a charge of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and the 16-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
They were transported to the Hernando County Jail and released to their parents and placed under home detention, according to the report.
The homeowner could not be located or contacted and deputies think the house might have been a foreclosure.
