BROOKSVILLE Hernando Heritage Museum will conduct its annual Halloween Fest featuring its certified "haunted" house from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30-31, at the Victorian house located at 601 Museum Court, off East Jefferson Street. The three-story house is decorated with a new scary twist in each room, and a palm reader will be present outside the house for fortune-telling entertainment. A food booth providing hot dogs, snacks, drinks and baked goods will be available. The haunted house is strongly recommended for ages 8 and older only, but there will be a campfire with marshmallow roasting and stories for the younger attendees. The donation is $5 per person; and proceeds of the event will go toward the upkeep and repairs of the house, as it is the oldest restored house in Brooksville. For more information, call the Museum at 352-799-0129 or visit its Web site at www.hernandohistoricalmuseum.com
