BROOKSVILLE - The school board does not want the county to place a moratorium on school impact fees.
Doing so would remove a funding source the school district desperately needs, according to the board.
The Board of County Commissioners will discuss the matter during its own meeting Oct. 13.
The school board is expected to choose a representative to attend the commission meeting.
The board also will discuss what to do with the 52 or so portable classrooms that can be removed from school campuses due to the recent classroom additions.
The workshop begins at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hernando County school district offices, located at 919 N. Broad St.
The regular board meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
