SPRING HILL - The growing and smashing sounds coming from the woods made one couple fear that a wild cat was on the loose, deputies said.
One of their neighbors owns some exotic animals, including tigers, according to a sheriff's report.
Deputies responded Monday morning and then someone from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission arrived to inspect the area.
Following the inspection and after all parties were interviewed, the owner of the exotic animal sanctuary was cleared of any wrongdoing, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
James Jablon, of 306 Suncoast Blvd., escorted authorities onto his property and showed all of his animals. They were properly contained in fences, deputies said.
Suncoast Boulevard is located north of County Line Road.
