As some who also has no health insurance, and who believes that the government should do something to reform it, I am, on the other hand, somewhat disturbed by the attitude of people like Colleen Kasperek who is willing to take any kind of government health care system including this huge 2,000-page bill, which I doubt anyone in Congress knows what is in it.
What I know is in it is huge tax increases, not just for the rich, but middle-class people as well. But I guess Ms. Kasperek and the other people pushing for this bill make enough money so they don't mind paying more in taxes.
My question to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and all the other Democrats who cobbled this 2,000-page monster of a bill together that will not go into affect for four years, why not provide the American people the same coverage you have? Shouldn't we be entitled to be treated the same as them?
I think so.
To Ms. Kasperek and all the others who have written complaining about how U.S. Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite has voted in regard to this health care bill, all I can say to that is: Thank God we have someone like Ms. Brown-Waite representing us who is smart enough to know when the American people are being conned. That is what this health bill is — a big con. Unfortunately people like Ms. Kasperek are so desperate for government health care, they don't care about what it's in it or what it is going to cost them in the long run.
I, on the other hand, and the majority of American people do care.
