BROOKSVILLE - County commissioners Tuesday unanimously ratified a contract the union negotiated with management.
Last month, the 525 union members voted 133-7 on the contract, ending several months of negotiating.
The two sides had come to agreement on health insurance, a discipline policy and grievance procedures.
Employees also approved a provision they will take 10 unpaid furlough days this budget year, matching the number of the 95 non-union members.
In exchange, the county came to terms on a displacement agreement, which protects seniority workers.
