BROOKSVILLE - A woman arrived home Wednesday and noticed beer missing from her refrigerator and a broken handle on her liquor cabinet.
By the following morning, her neighbor's two adult sons were booked on burglary charges, according to an arrest report.
The victim came home from work, noticed the missing beverages and called her neighbor, who has come over to the house before to get beer, deputies said.
The neighbor did not take the drinks, but noticed her son was at home drunk, according to the report.
The victim said her neighbor's sons have broken into her house in the past, but has declined to press charges. She reportedly reached her breaking point following Wednesday's break-in and contacted the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, deputies said.
Joshua Taylor, 23, was questioned and he denied entering the house at 16435 Kensington Road and said his brother, Brad Taylor, 21, did not go there either, according to the sheriff's office.
When the younger brother was questioned, he eventually admitted he and his brother pried open the kitchen window, grabbed beers from the refrigerator before turning their attention to the liquor cabinet, deputies said.
They pulled on the handle until it broke and removed several opened bottles of liquor, according to the report.
The brothers were taken to the Hernando County Jail and their bonds were set at $5,000, respectively.
