Central High student charged in sex case

A Central High School student was arrested Wednesday and charged with lewd and lascivious battery after sexually abusing a minor "on numerous occasions" during the last two years, deputies said.
Jayson D. Suarez, 19, of Sugarfoot Drive in Spring Hill, was transported to the Hernando County Jail. His bond was set at $10,000.
The detective in the case wrote in an arrest affidavit that Suarez was caught last month in the bedroom with the 14-year-old male victim and both were nude.
Suarez told authorities he had engaged in sexual activity with the victim at least three times since January and that the victim was only 12 years old when the incidents began, according to the affidavit.
The investigation began Oct. 20 after the incident was reported to an abuse hotline, deputies said.
