BROOKSVILLE - Deputies say they seized 235 prescription pills with a $500 street value during an unrelated investigation on Thursday.
The Methadone and Xanax were discovered in Rafael Clemente Jr.'s car during a search of his property at 8400 Philatelic Drive, according to a report.
Deputies said they were searching for a firearm when they came across two pill bottles on the floorboard. Clemente, 33, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Two arrested in connection with purse robbery
SPRING HILL Two people were arrested Friday in connection with snatch-and-grab robbery outside a store.
The victim was stepping out of the Island Food Store on Mariner Boulevard late Thursday night when two men pushed her and grabbed her purse, according to a report.
A detective later tracked down the suspects, identified as Christopher Mercer, 24, of 557 Spring Haven Loop, and Jonathan Bell, 19, of 238 Spring Haven Loop.
Mercer was charged with the robbery, Bell as an accomplice.
