Chinsegut Nature Center lists upcoming events

BROOKSVILLE - Chinsegut Nature Center has announced its events for May.

All programs meet at the center unless otherwise noted.

•Saturday, May 23: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Geocaching Class by Chinsegut volunteers. Class size is limited to 30.

•Friday, June 5, Friday: 8 to 10 p.m.: Chinsegut Night Hike. Please bring a flashlight and insect repellant.

•Saturday, June 13, 9 to 11 a.m.: Florida Skippers - Identification of our small and confusing butterflies by Don Stillwaugh.

•Saturday, June 20, 9 to 11 a.m.: Introductory Archery Workshop. The Commission will provide the equipment. Pre-registration is required.

Thursday, June 25, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Flying WILD workshop for educators.

Bird natural history workshop for all educators, in-service credit available.

The center is open to the public every Friday and Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
