Gia Gomez, 6, shows her mom Christine the personalized coffee cup she made for her dad for a Father's Day gift during a party Friday in Margie Yurtinus' and Joanna Mullins' kindergarten class at Challenger K-8 School. The students presented their parents with Mother's and Father's Day gifts and enjoyed cake and other refreshments after reviewing their child's writing assignments during a Literary Café in the class.

On front panel, Kelly Charboneau is reading the Mother's Day book her son Connor, 5, wrote for her in Margie Yurtinus' and Joanna Mullins' kindergarten class at Challenger K-8 School. Charboneau was attending the class' Literary Café where they could read their child's writing assignments done over the school year and enjoy cake and their refreshments. Each child created a book for their mother and a personalized coffee cup for their father they presented at the party Friday.
