BROOKSVILLE - A wanted man who ran out his back door at the sight of a deputy described the ensuing pursuit as a "big game of hide and seek."
A deputy went to Kenneth Trout's house, 13391 Snow Memorial Highway, on Friday to serve two warrants. Trout came to the front door, but bolted out the back when he was asked to step outside, according to a report.
The deputy was hampered from grabbing him because three small children blocked the doorway. Instead, the deputy and his backup took off on foot after Trout, but they lost him in the nearby woods. A K-9 deputy and his dog eventually caught him.
Trout, 21, was arrested on the warrants, along with resisting an officer without violence.
