SPRING HILL - A suspected drunk driver was arrested Tuesday after a deputy saw her weaving across Spring Hill Drive.
The deputy observed the suspect around 2 a.m. tailgating another car, then watched as the Saturn switched lanes and cut in front of the other car. The suspect's Saturn also struck the curb "numerous" times, the affidavit states.
The deputy pulled over the car near Autumn Road and requested a traffic deputy after smelling a "very strong odor of alcoholic beverage" on Ashley Schepper's breath, an affidavit states.
Schepper, 22, of 9271 Spring Hill Drive, failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the county jail, where she reportedly blew a blood alcohol level of .224 and .219. Florida law presumes intoxication at .08.
Old Marijuana Earns Driver Ticket
BROOKSVILLE Deputies recovered some old marijuana on Wednesday after a traffic stop for a burned out tag light.
How old was it?
The driver, Michael Blue, reportedly told the deputy he wasn't going to smoke the pot in the car's door handle "because there is a spider web in it."
Blue was ticketed for the possession of marijuana under 20 grams and driving with a suspended license.
