Frederick Charles Pubins, 64, of Spring Hill died Friday, Feb. 27 at his home.

Mr. Pubins was born in Oceanside, N.Y. and moved to this area 14 years ago. He was a retired police officer, loved glasswork, ceramics and was a craftsman. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and Presbyterian by faith.

Survivors include: his wife, Laura; two sons, Steven and Anthony of New York, daughter, Karen of Florida; brother, Frank of California and grandchildren.

John J. Cahill, 74, of Hernando Beach died Saturday, Feb. 28 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center, Brooksville.

Mr. Cahill was born in Chicago, Ill. and came to this area 16 years ago. He worked for the City of Chicago as an electrician.

Survivors include: his wife, Joyce; son Brian; stepsons, Tony and Jeff; daughter Mary Cahill; two step-daughters, Lauren and Beverly; one grandchild and five step grandchildren.

Carl A. Brockman, 62, of Spring Hill died Saturday, Feb. 28 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center, Brooksville.

Mrs. Brockman was born in Decatur, Ill. and came to this area 15 years ago from Palmyra, Mo. She was a licensed practical nurse and a member of Northcliffe Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her son, Shane A. Depres of Palmyra, Mo.; daughters Carrie Miller of Clermont and Tara Borger of Spring Hill; brothers, Michael W. Scott of Taylor, Mo.; sisters: Leslee L. Ferguson of Oreanna, Ill. and Kim K. McKenna of Palmyra, Mo. and three grandchildren.

Lucius Emerson Young, 99, of Spring Hill died Tuesday, Feb. 24. He was born in Ocala and came to this area from Holder, Fla. in 1995.

He was Catholic by faith and attended St. Joan of Arc. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1961 as a Lt. Colonel. He was a member of Alpha Phi Omega, Phi Beta Simga at Howard University, worked with the Boy Scouts of America in Irving, Texas, belonged to the Knights of Columbus St. Jude Council, #6383 and the 366th Infantry Veteran Association.

Survivors include: his wife, Muriel; sisters: Suzie Williams, Viola McDonald, and Earline Warwick; nieces and nephews; many loving family members and friends.

Carl Ann Martin, 61, of Spring Hill died Tuesday, Feb. 24 at Oak Hill Hospital.

Ms. Martin was born in Fall River, Mass., and came here nine years ago.
She is survived by her family.

Ronald P. Hertz, 77, of Weeki Wachee died Thursday, Feb. 26.

Mr. Hertz was born in Boynton Beach and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include two daughters, Anne McClelland of Mechanicsville, Va., and Karen Matani of Loxahatchee; and four grandchildren.

Steven L. Sigillo, 89, of Spring Hill died Sunday, March 1 under Hospice Care. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and came to this area 16 years ago.

Mr. Sigillo was a graduate of The Medical College of Virginia and worked for the NYC Health Department as a dentist and had his own practice in Brooklyn. He was a U.S. Army Captain in World War II and served as a Dental Surgeon in the Medical Battalion. He was also an avid golfer.

Survivors include: his wife, Joyce; four children: Tiven Racioppo, Michelle Sigillo, Lisette Sigillo and Bret Sigillo; three grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; four step children: Joseph Fulton, Arlen Fulton, Barbara Duval, and Jeanne Fulton; three step grandchildren; and one great step-grandchild.
