BROOKSVILLE - A teenager was arrested Monday because he sent a lewd picture of himself to a 14-year-old girl via his cell phone, a report shows.
When the victim asked the suspect, also 14, why he sent the picture, he reportedly replied that he was "bored."
The suspect, who is not being named because of his age, was interviewed Monday at Central High School and subsequently charged with transmitting child pornography with an electronic device.
15-Year-Old Driver Found With Crack Cocaine
SPRING HILL Deputies arrested a 15-year-old driver on Saturday on charges including drug possession and battery on an officer.
The suspect, who is not being named because of her age, was pulled over shortly before midnight on Mariner Boulevard because she was driving without headlights. The deputy suspected she was driving drunk and requested a traffic deputy to perform field sobriety tests.
Before the deputy's backup arrived, though, the suspect kicked the officer in the leg. To avoid further confrontation they skipped the tests and arrested her on suspicion of DUI.
Jail staff wouldn't take her until she was medically cleared, so the deputies took her to the hospital. In the intervening 3 1/2-hour wait at the hospital, the suspect had sobered up enough that the DUI charge was dropped.
She was still charged with battery on an officer, driving without a license, possession of drug paraphernalia and 3.5 grams of crack cocaine in her pants.
