Library System lists summer programs

Hernando County Public Library System will offer the following summer programs for boys and girls ages 5-12:

"Rumpelstiltskin" will be presented at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, at the Play'n Around Theatre at West Hernando Branch Library, 6335 Blackbird Ave., off State Road 50, near Weeki Wachee; and at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, at the East Hernando Branch Library, 6457 Windmere Road, Brooksville. The Theatre is dedicated to bringing culture to children through the magic of live musical theater. The program will include music, dancing and audience participation.

"Didgeridoo Down Under" will be presented at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the East Hernando Branch Library; at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at the Main Library, 238 Howell Ave., Brooksville; and at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at the West Hernando Branch Library. Didgeridoo is an Australia-themed presentation that combines music, art, social studies, environmental education, character building and audience participation.

Fritzy Bros. - One Man Circus at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Main Library; and at 10:15 a.m. Friday, July 10, at the Spring Hill Branch Library, 9220 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill. Fritzy Bros. is a circus show that includes unicycle riding, cowbell ringing, juggling and circus ball walking.

Library programs are free of charge, and registration is not required. For best seating and parking, it is recommended to arrive early. Programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Library. For more information, call the Library Program staff at 352-540-6391.
