The Hernando County Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) along with Hair Masters of Brooksville will present 'Clips for Tails' from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the salon located at 14974 Cortez Blvd.
Cuts will range from $17.95 for a 'Plain Kitty Clip and Trim' to $34.95 for a 'Regular Doggie Doo' shampoo, cut and dry for long hair.
No fancy stuff (highlighting, lowlighting, perms) will be done during this special event, but the salon will be happy to schedule a return appointment to get the works from one of their designers.
Hair Masters has donated their time and skills so that all proceeds will go to benefit the animals the SPCA cares for until they find their forever homes.
Some of the SPCA fourlegged residents will attend Clips for Tails as the weather permits.
The SPCA is in need of monetary donations, monthly sponsorships for animals and shelter supplies. The list of shelter needs are: Bleach, detergent, large black trash bags, clay cat litter, Pedigree canned dog food, Friskies canned cat food, toys, treats, Odoban sanitizer from Sam's Club, new mops, brooms, sponges, office supplies such as copy paper, pens, scotch tape.
The shelter also needs reliable, caring volunteers to help take care of our terrific bunch of pets in waiting.
For more information on donations or volunteering, call the SPCA at 352-596-7000.
