I take umbrage at Fred Peters' letter on our paper's editorial page that Ford cars and especially Crown Vics used by the police have no turn signals.
How does he determine this - by following cars that the driver does not actually use the turn signal? Does he follow the driver and/or deputy until the unit is parked and ask to check the turn signals?
Or does he work for a competitor, or is it a tongue-in-cheek jab at those who do not use their turn signals?
As a quality assurance manager (retired) who went back to work for 13 years in production, quality control and purchasing, I know of no turn signal concerns!

Editor's note: Mr. Peters was being facetious. He was complaining that law enforcement officers often fail to use their turn signals, which sets a terrible example for the motoring public.
