SPRING HILL - A deputy arriving at the Wal-Mart on Commercial Way observed a woman crying hysterically and causing a disturbance as she yelled at several of the Wal-Mart employees.

According to a report, Lorraine Drawe, 44, was having her vehicle serviced and began to consume a beer in the waiting room of the service area. She was advised by an employee of Wal-Mart that she could not drink in the store. Drawe became irate, yelled profanities and ripped a telephone from the wall.

Drawe's husband, Michael Drawe, was contacted but would not respond to care for her because he said she had a drinking problem. She was subsequently placed into protective custody and transported to the Hernando County Jail under the Marchman Act.

While enroute to the jail, she kicked out the rear passenger side window of the patrol vehicle. The subject then made several attempts to spit on the officer through the safety cage that separates the front and rear compartments of the patrol vehicle. As the officer exited the vehicle, Drawe tried to climb out of the vehicle but he was able to restrain her.

Another deputy responded to the scene and transported her to the jail, where she was charged with criminal mischief for the damage to the window and assault on a law enforcement officer. She was held on a $1,000 bond.
