BROOKSVILLE - The city council will meet Monday night to discuss a wide range of topics, from the selection process of the annual Great Brooksvillian of the Year to interlocal agreements on solid waste and governmental committees.
The council members will discuss the appointment of a screening committee for the Great Brooksvillian to the approval of timelines for the celebration.
The city also is considering a conflict waiver to allow the attorney to draft an "interlocal agreement" with Sumter County for the use of its solid waste facility.
A renewal of the interlocal agreement between the city and county for the creation of the Metropolitan Planning Organization also will be discussed.
The public meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will take place at City Hall, located at 201 Howell Ave.
