BROOKSVILLE - Expect the sight and odor of smoke today as the Division of Forestry burns about 200 acres in the Croom Forest.
Winds are coming from the southwest and west, so folks living along Croom Road and the western portion of Brooksville will be most affected.
A second burn in Citrus County will affect residents in southern Inverness.
Both burns are for fuel reduction and habitat improvement, according to the DOF.
