Vinyl to spin in Sarasota

Sarasota will be the place to be July 17-19 for dance and music lovers.

The Vinyl Music Festival, the first electronic music festival will be held on the gulf coast of Florida and will feature more than 25 DJ artists from around the world, as well as local artists in a four-day event held in 10 venues located in downtown Sarasota.

The featured international DJ artists include: Paul Mendez, currently rated the No. 3 House DJ in the world; Diamond, a high-energy blonde bombshell DJ to the stars; Master Jay coming directly from Doha, Qatar in the Middle East; Drager, the No. 3 ranked Electro House DJ in the U.S.; and DeeJay Barry who has been rocking crowds worldwide for more than 10 years.

Highlights of the festival

•Friday, July 17 - VIP Party on Rooftop of Kanaya (505 S. Orange) with Dalish, 8 to 10 p.m.

•Friday and Saturday nights - Five of six clubs with celebrity DJ's will be within short walk/drive distance 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

•Saturday, July 18 - DJ Diamond on the Beach at Lido Beach Resort (700 Ben Franklin Blvd.) 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

•Saturday, July 18 - G. Wiz The Science Museum at the Blivas Science and Technology Center (1001 Blvd of the Arts) The Science of Sound with DJ Sinna-G ,2 to 5 p.m. Fun for all ages.

•Sunday, July 19 - Yacht-side VIP Rehab Party on the Sandbar between South Lido Key and Siesta Key.
